PRIVACY POLICY
Last updated 23 September 2026.
Avaday Golf is a golf academy in Singapore. This policy explains what we hold about our members, why we hold it, and what you can ask us to do with it. It is written to meet our obligations under Singapore’s Personal Data Protection Act.
What we collect
When you become a member, we ask for:
- Your name, email address and mobile number — so our coaches can reach you.
- Your date of birth — so we know whether you are a minor, and to tailor coaching.
- Your My Golf Kaki membership number, if you have one — so the right venue rate applies.
- Your lesson package and preferred coach, if you have chosen them.
- Which range sessions you book — so we know who is coming.
If you send us an enquiry through the website, we keep your name, email and message so we can answer it.
If you sign in with Google, Google tells us your name, email address and nothing more. We never see your Google password.
If you were a member of our old website
Avaday Golf previously ran on Wix. When we moved to this site, we brought across the contact details of people who had an account or who had attended our sessions, so that you would not have to sign up again from scratch. Passwords were not transferred — the old system could not export them, and we would not have wanted them. If you had an account, you can sign in with Google or set a new password.
If you would rather we did not hold your details at all, email us and we will delete them. No explanation needed.
Why we hold it
To run lessons and weekly range sessions, to contact you about a booking, and to answer your enquiries. That is all. We do not sell your details to anybody, and we do not use them for advertising.
We will only send you marketing email if you have told us we may, and every such email has a way to stop them.
Who else can see it
We use a small number of services to run the site, and they hold data on our behalf:
- Supabase stores our member records and runs sign-in. Our database is hosted in Seoul, South Korea, so your details are stored outside Singapore. Supabase is contractually required to protect them to a comparable standard.
- Google handles sign-in for members who choose it, and provides our email.
- Vercel serves the website itself.
Our coaches see the details of members they are teaching. Our staff see member records in order to run the academy. Nobody else does.
GreenBox is a separate business, and we do not pass them your details unless you ask us to arrange something on your behalf.
How long we keep it
While you are a member, and for two years after your last lesson or session, in case you come back. After that we delete it. Enquiries that do not turn into membership are deleted after a year.
Cookies
We set one cookie, and only once you sign in: it is what keeps you signed in as you move between pages. There are no advertising or tracking cookies on this site.
Members under 18
We coach juniors, and we are glad to. If you are under 18, please sign up with a parent or guardian, as they need to agree on your behalf.
What you can ask us to do
Under the Personal Data Protection Act you may ask us to:
- tell you what we hold about you, and how we have used it;
- correct anything that is wrong;
- stop using your details, by withdrawing your consent.
Email mustbenice@avadaygolf.com or WhatsApp us on 8700 8770 and we will sort it out. We answer within 30 days, usually much sooner. If you withdraw consent entirely we will have to close your account, since we cannot run bookings without a way to contact you.
Changes
If we change this policy we will update the date at the top. If the change is significant, we will tell members by email rather than quietly editing the page.
